The garment washing process we use on our Washed Sateen Sheets creates an even softer, more lived-in comfort than our original sateen — and that’s saying something. The sheen finish of our Refined Sateen sheets has been a favourite for those looking to build a beautiful bedding set, and our Washed Sateen Collection adds an additional relaxed look to any bed.

Caring for Washed Sateen Bedding

Our Washed Sateen bedding is made with 100% cotton and grows even softer with each turn in the wash. However, caring for sateen sheets takes a little extra care. To keep your Washed Sateen collection bright, vibrant, and soft, we recommend following these care instructions:

• Machine wash in cool water using a gentle, mild detergent. (This is especially important for sateen sheets, as you don’t want anything that will strip the sheen)
• Wash with items similar in colour and fabric — and, better yet, wash them alone
• Avoid washing with any items that may have a zipper or a hook that could cause pilling
• Tumble dry on low heat to preserve the natural weave
• Avoid using harsh chemicals such as chlorine bleach or benzoyl peroxide

Our Washed Sateen Collection, woven with 100% cotton and offering a 200-thread count, is intentionally created to be relaxed, soft and luxe for every sleeper looking to improve their bedtime experience. The fitted sheet fits a mattress up to 15 inches deep, and the pillowcases have an envelope-style closure to fit a variety of pillow types. Just like with all Skylark+Owl bedding, our Washed Sateen Collection is certified by OEKO-TEX to be free of harmful chemicals, providing a rest that you can trust.
